Lunar New Year officially begins today, February 17, 2026 celebrating the Year of the Horse and the celebration is already in full-swing at Disney California Adventure Park. The festivities include culinary delights, special entertainment, special character experiences and “Mulan’s Lunar New Year Procession”, all through February 22, 2026.

The Performance
“Mulan’s Lunar New Year Procession” is performed fours times a day and travels from Hollywood Land to Paradise Gardens during each performance. The 2026 showtimes are scheduled daily at 12:45pm, 2:30pm, 5:00pm, and 6:45pm (weather permitting).
The procession includes Chinese fan and ribbon dancers, thunderous drummers and energetic dragon performers along with beloved Disney characters Mulan, Mushu, Chip ‘n’ Dale and Horace Horsecollar.
This unique magical march honors family, friendship and the potential for a new year filled with good wishes for health, luck and prosperity.
This joyous celebration welcomes the Year of the Horse with vibrant festivities and joyous tributes to Chinese, Korean and Vietnamese cultures.
Mulan and Mushu along with Cri-Kee ride along the parade route on a float with drummers followed by Chip ‘n Dale in cute Lunar New Year costumes.
And Horace Horsecollar rides on the back of a bike carriage representing all Disney Horses for the Year of the Horse celebration.
The Lunar New Year celebration at the Disneyland Resort runs through February 22, 2026 honoring Chinese, Korean, and Vietnamese cultures.
