Ka-chow! A new Disney Jr series featuring Lightning McQueen and Mater is coming to Disney+ in 2027. Based on the Disney-Pixar film, Cars: Lightning Racers will explore new adventures in Radiator Springs, introducing new characters and featuring a more cartoonish 2D style animation.
The series will include familiar characters such as Lightning McQueen and Tow Mater but will also introduce new characters such as a drag car named Pipes (voiced by Leah Lewis) and a monster truck named Miles (voiced by Yuri Lowenthal). Returning voices include Owen Wilson as Lightning McQueen, Larry the Cable Guy as Mater and Bonnie Hunt as Sally.
