As previously rumored, Disney Parks announced today that the Magic Happens parade will be returning to Disneyland Park on Friday, February 2, 2024. Disney Parks also announced the return of two nighttime spectaculars including “Mickey’s Mix Magic” from January 8 – March 21, 2024 and a special presentation of “Wondrous Journeys” from March 22 – April 14, 2024. I’m not sure why “Wondrous Journeys” is only a special presentation return and what will follow as a nighttime spectacular after April 14th, but I am sure we will have more information about the nighttime shows after the first of the year. Fantasmic is also returning to the Rivers of America in Disneyland Park on May 24, 2024.
Magic Happens features upbeat music composed by singer-songwriter Todrick Hall and includes many of your favorite Disney characters. Sorcerer Mickey leads the parade atop a giant sorcerer hat float followed by Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, Goofy and more. The parade is divided into several segments including a Moana, Coco and Frozen segment. Then, the parade has a grand finale with Cinderella, Arthur and Merlin, Princess Tiana, Sleeping Beauty and more.
The parade ended it’s run for 2023 on October 15th to make way for the holiday season and A Christmas Fantasy Parade at Disneyland Park. I am very excited that the return date for Magic Happens has officially been announced and that Disneyland Park will not be without a daytime parade for too many days after A Christmas Fantasy Parade ends on January 7, 2024.
