During The Walt Disney Studios’ presentation at CinemaCon 2025 in Las Vegas, NV this week, Disney Legend James Cameron addressed the audience via a taped message about Avatar: Fire and Ash before introducing Oscar winner Zoe Saldaña to the stage. Saldaña introduced a sneak peek at the upcoming film which will take audiences back to Pandora.
The immersive new adventure film will star Zoe Saldaña as Na’vi warrior Neytiri and Sam Worthington as Marine turned Na’vi leader Jake Sully. The film also stars Sigourney Weaver, Stephen Lang, Kate Winslet, Cliff Curtis, Oona Chaplin, Jack Champion, Britain Dalton, Trinity Bliss and Bailey Bass. Avatar: Fire and Ash is produced by James Cameron and Jon Landau.
Avatar: Fire and Ash opens exclusively in theaters on December 19, 2025. The film will be followed by Avatar 4 currently scheduled to be released on December 21, 2029 and Avatar 5 which is slated for December 19, 2031.
