The title for the next Avatar movie (previously referred to as Avatar 3) was revealed during D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event. The third movie in the Avatar series of films will be titled Avatar: Fire and Ash.
The film will take us on a journey back to Pandora. Avatar: Fire and Ash will be co-produced, co-edited, co-written, and directed by James Cameron and is currently scheduled to hit theaters on December 19, 2025.
The film is being released by 20th Century Studios which is a division of The Walt Disney Company.
The first two films in the Avatar franchise of movies titled Avatar and Avatar: The Way of Water can both be streamed on Disney+.
